Create a Mother’s Day Slideshow Using JubileeTV

Mother's Day used to be pretty simple-brunch, flowers, a card with just enough sentiment to make her smile but not enough to make either of us cry. Now, it feels a little different. Not heavier, exactly, but more meaningful. More about noticing. Less about the grand gesture, and more about being there and making her feel special.

There's something about looking back-really looking-that hits the heartstrings. A few years ago, I gathered old photos from across mom's life: black-and-white childhood snapshots, her wedding day, blurry vacation shots from the 90s, and quiet moments I hadn't seen in years.

Alongside presenting her with these images in a handmade scrapbook, I also took the opportunity to upload these photos digitally to her JubileeTV. This way, she can see the photos as a screensaver on her TV whenever she wants-without needing to find the scrapbook.

With Mother's Day right around the corner, this is a wonderful opportunity to upload some new family photos to mom's JubileeTV. Then, when Mother's Day arrives, you can easily start the slideshow on her TV using JubileeTV's Telescope feature with the click of a button.

How to Add New Photos to Mom's JubileeTV

Creating a slideshow that will play on mom's JubileeTV as a screensaver is super simple. In just a few steps, you can have her TV reliving old memories in no time.

To start, you'll want to add new photos to her JubileeTV. To do this:

• Open the JubileeTV app

• Scroll down to Photos & Videos

• Click "Send Photos" in the bottom right-hand corner

From here, you can select new photos from your phone to send directly to her TV.

Once you have all the photos uploaded that you wish to share with mom, you'll see a green check in the top right of each photo under Photos & Videos. If this check is selected, that means that photo will appear in your loved one's screensaver photo slideshow.

If you want to remove or exclude any photos from the slideshow, simply click the check mark to remove it (don't worry, you can always re-select it later).

How to Begin Your Slideshow on Mom's JubileeTV

Once you've uploaded your new Mother's Day photos to mom's TV, the last step is to start the slideshow! The photo slideshow will automatically begin as a screensaver on mom's TV after a brief period of inactivity while the TV is on.

To start the slideshow sooner, you can manually prompt the slideshow to begin in a few easy steps:

• Open the JubileeTV app

• Navigate to Telescope

• Locate the "Type Command" box, located midway down the screen

• Type "slideshow" into the Command field

• Submit the command using the paper airplane button!

That's it! Once you've entered the "slideshow" command in Telescope, the slideshow will begin automatically on your loved one's TV.

You can also use the commands "start slideshow" or "screensaver" to begin the slideshow as well.

Stay Connected with Slideshows, Even When You Can't Be There In-person

Some years, being together in person just isn't possible. But distance doesn't mean disconnection-not anymore. Mom and I have video calls with tea in hand, watched movies "together" from different states, and even sent care packages to open during the call: her favorite cookies, a candle, photos, a cozy scarf.
