Our latest release is shaped directly by feedback from our caregivers. Real requests from people juggling work, family, distance, and daily check-ins. These updates are designed to reduce friction, simplify routines, and help you support your loved ones without interrupting their day (or yours).
Here’s what’s new and how it helps.
One of our most requested improvements is finally here. You can now use Listen Mode while using Telescope, so you can hear exactly how loud the TV is while you’re visually checking in.
That means:
Hear the TV volume in real time
Adjust volume instantly in the same view
No more switching back and forth between Drop-In and Telescope
For caregivers, this removes an extra step during moments that already feel urgent. Everything you need is now in one place.
How to use Telescope Listen Mode:
Start a Telescope session from the app home screen.
Once the Telescope session is active, you’ll see the “Communicate” controls in the top right.
Tap the listen button (it looks like a person with audio waves coming from their head).
Caregiving support doesn’t always need to interrupt the moment. With this update, you can now send reminders in Passive Modes.
This allows you to:
Support daily routines gently
Avoid disrupting shows, conversations, or rest
Stay present without feeling intrusive
It’s a small change that makes a big difference especially for routines like medications, meals, or bedtime.
We’ve added two new features to help turn the TV off at specified times. These features are especially helpful for:
Evening routines
Preventing overnight TV use
Supporting healthier sleep habits
Once they’re set, JubileeTV handles the rest.
Feature 1: Sleep Timer
The sleep timer is an on-the-fly tool. When using Telescope as the caregiver you might want to put on a show and then set the TV to turn off in an hour. This is a one-time action.
How do I use it?
Start a Telescope session from the app home screen.
Once the Telescope session is active, navigate to the “Actions” tab.
Scroll down to Sleep Timer and select when you want the TV to turn off.
Feature 2: The Automatically Turn TV Off Setting
This setting turns the TV off at the set time every night.
How do I set it?
Access Hub Details > Settings by tapping on the gear icon to the right of the room name on the home screen.
Scroll down to “Automatically Turn TV Off.”
Select the time you want the TV to turn off every day.
You can now add Custom Channels to Favorites, making it easier to tailor the TV experience to your loved one’s needs.
Custom Channels are especially useful if:
You want to add a voice alias to a favorite channel
A channel you want to favorite is not listed
A channel you want to favorite is listed incorrectly
This update gives caregivers more flexibility and helps loved ones feel more confident navigating their TV independently.
To learn more about Custom Channels read our knowledge base article.
We’ve also made improvements to the Activity Tab to give you clearer insight into what’s happening.
You’ll now see:
Photos captured for stationary events
Photos captured for active events
These updates add helpful context to activity alerts, making it easier to understand moments at a glance.
To find your activity feed settings:
Select activity feed from the home screen
Tap the 3 dots in the top right corner
Select setting - you can see when the Activity Feed takes photos
