A Simple TV Remote for Seniors with Dementia

Built-in features that support dementia care:
6-Button Remote (Optional)
For older adults who still watch cable or satellite TV, our 6-button remote is an optional add-on that makes things easier. It’s not required—users can continue using their existing remote, switch to the included JubileeTV voice remote, or let family manage everything through the app. But for those with dementia or low vision, this simplified remote can reduce frustration and restore a sense of control.
Simplify TV with Dementia Mode
Limits access to JubileeTV’s interactive features to keep the experience simple—no on-screen menus, pop-ups, or reminders.
Limit Frustration with TV Favorites
Set a custom list of favorite channels. Create a custom list of favorite channels. Channel Up/Down buttons cycle only through this list to reduce endless scrolling and avoid unwanted channels.
Manage Their TV Remotely
See what they see and instantly control everything from your phone.
You're Not Alone in This Struggle
Every day, thousands of dementia caregivers experience:
17-23 phone calls per day asking you to "come fix the TV"
Drives across town just to change a channel or find a lost remote
Emergency calls from care facilities asking you to come calm them down
Caregiver guilt when you can't drop everything and rush over
Watching them lose independence over something as simple as watching their favorite show
Feeling helpless when the care staff "can't help with electronics"
Latest research shows: 70% of dementia caregivers report that coordinating care is stressful, and 11.5 million family caregivers provide an estimated 18.4 billion hours of unpaid help — that's 31 hours per week per caregiver.
Beyond Easy TV: Video Calling & Monitoring Designed for Dementia Care
AutoConnect Video Calls
Call them without them having to answer. The call connects automatically, so they can't "miss" it or get confused by buttons.

Everything You Might Be Wondering, Answered
Will my parent know how to use it?
Yes—JubileeTV is designed for all types of older adults, even those who don't like tech. They don’t need to learn anything new. They can even keep their old remote.
Do they need a smartphone or computer?
No. The older adult doesn’t need to use a smartphone, tablet, or computer. Everything shows up on their TV screen automatically. Family members use the app to manage settings, control the TV, or start video calls—your loved one doesn’t have to press anything.
Can I use this from out of state—or even overseas?
Absolutely. The app works anywhere you have internet. The older adult (TV user) must be located in the U.S.
What about security and privacy?
Only approved contacts can connect. All data is encrypted and HIPAA compliant. Plus, the JubileeTV Console includes a manual camera cover and mic switch.
What if we try it and it’s not for us?
Try the system for 60 days, just pay $10 shipping. If you don’t love it, send it back—no questions asked.
How do you set it up?
JubileeTV plugs into their existing TV and cable or streaming player using HDMI cables (Watch our set up video for an overview). Most families finish setup in under 30 minutes. We provide clear instructions, and also offer a free virtual install with an advisor if you want help step by step. No tech expertise needed. Upgrade to professional in-home install after purchasing the system for $99.
Can we use this in Memory Care?
Yes, however, we recommend discussing with the community prior to installation as there is a built-in video camera. The system also requires a set-top box or external streaming device and you'll need to be able to log into the community's wi-fi. Check compatibility.
What’s included when I order the JubileeTV system?
The box includes the JubileeTV console with built-in wide-angle camera, voice remote, HDMI cable, smart plug, IR blasters, power adapter, and batteries. You can add-on the optional 6-button Remote for a simpler cable television experience.
Can multiple family members use the app?
Yes. You can invite siblings, caregivers, and others to access controls, get alerts, or check in—all with customizable permissions.
What happens if they unplug something or it stops working?
We offer live support from actual humans. You can contact us via phone or email and a friendly support rep will be happy to help you out.
Is there a simple TV for seniors with dementia?
Yes. JubileeTV was built specifically to make television easier for people with memory loss, Alzheimer's disease and cognitive decline. It works with any standard TV and offers tools like a 6-button remote, remote TV control, auto-answer video calls, drop-in, and a caregiver app to control everything from anywhere. You can even limit channel options to avoid confusion.
Does it work with their existing cable box or Roku?
Yes. JubileeTV works alongside their streaming player, cable box, satellite receiver. Please note, if your loved one watches content directly on their Smart TV you will need to connect an external streaming device like Roku. You can connect up to three devices through HDMI and switch between them easily.
Will I be able to add other family members to the app?
Yes! You can invite as many people as you’d like. You can customize how each individual person accesses the app - whether it's to check in, share photos, drop in, or start video calls. Each person can also customize how often they get activity alerts or reminders.
What if they’re hard of hearing or visually impaired?
The TV screen provides a large visual interface, and all calls are delivered with loud, clear volume. The app can remotely adjust volume, too. We also offer accessibility features including closed captioning during video calls.
Can this help with dementia care?
Yes. Families caring for loved ones with dementia use JubileeTV for daily check-ins, reminders, routine support, and calm reassurance. It’s also helpful to reduce confusion, simplify TV use, and avoid late-night phone calls.
What makes JubileeTV the most dementia-friendly TV option?
It’s built around simplicity and predictability. From auto-answer calls to optional dementia mode and a simple 6-button dementia remote, every feature is designed to reduce confusion and support daily routines.
What is the best TV remote for seniors with dementia?
For seniors with dementia, the best remote is one that removes complexity. JubileeTV offers an optional 6-button remote designed specifically for this need—just Power, Volume, and Channel Up/Down. It works with their existing cable or satellite box and can be paired with features like channel favorites and Passive Mode to further simplify the experience.
Your Relief is Just One Click Away
Imagine tomorrow: Your mom can watch her beloved Family Feud without getting agitated. When the nursing home calls about behavioral issues, you can video call instantly and calm them down from your office. No more 1.5-hour phone calls walking them through the remote. You're connected but not overwhelmed.
Don't wait 6 months like Laura P. did: "I probably looked at it for six months because I kept thinking, how is this so miraculous? I wish we would have given us the gift of that six months earlier."
Every day you wait is another day of frustrating phone calls, emergency trips, and caregiver stress.
