Every week, you connect with Mom through JubileeTV. It's the call you both look forward to. She sees your face on the big screen and you watch her light up when you appear. She looks good. Sounds cheerful. Everything seems normal.
But this week, something feels off. You can't quite name it. Is she a little more tired? Is there a hesitation in her voice that wasn't there last month? Or are you just overthinking it?
You hang up and wonder: Am I being paranoid, or am I picking up on something real?
Without actual data to back up your gut feeling, you brush it off and hope for the best. But in the back of your mind you know that subtle changes in how someone speaks can reveal important shifts in their wellness long before they're obvious. The question is: what if you didn't have to rely solely on instinct?
We partnered with Canary Speech, a leader in clinically informed voice biomarker technology, to bring something new to JubileeTV families: voice biomarker technology that analyzes how your loved one is doing during your regular TV video calls.
Canary Speech has spent years developing clinically validated voice analysis technology used in healthcare settings and we're proud to be the first consumer platform they've partnered with. That means the same science healthcare providers use is now available to you, right in your living room (or wherever you take your JubileeTV calls).
On the partnership, here's what Henry O'Connell, CEO of Canary Speech, said: "The human voice carries powerful signals about how someone is feeling or functioning from day to day. Our technology is built on clinical research that shows how speech patterns can reveal meaningful insights over time. Partnering with JubileeTV allows us to bring this science into the home in a thoughtful, accessible way, giving families earlier context without turning daily life into a clinical experience."
The technology listens to how your loved one speaks during your JubileeTV calls, not what they're saying, but patterns in their voice. By analyzing acoustic and linguistic patterns from brief snippets of natural speech, you’ll receive simple, non-diagnostic scores related to wellness, mood, stress, energy, and cognitive patterns.
While it’s important to know that these are not formal diagnoses, they’re early signals that can help you see patterns you might otherwise miss. This shift from reactive to proactive care allows you to get support sooner than later.
After your call, you'll receive simple, easy-to-understand scores you can use to track whether Mom's overall mood is shifting over time, if Dad seems more stressed than usual, or if that fatigue you noticed is actually a trend worth mentioning to a doctor.
Your parent doesn't need to do anything different. They simply enjoy talking with you through JubileeTV like always as the feature works quietly in the background.
We know that analyzing someone's voice requires absolute trust and that's why we've put privacy at the core:
Strictly opt-in: The experience requires consent from both the older adult and the designated family administrator before voice analysis begins.
Call-based only: Voice analysis occurs only during JubileeTV TV video calls for seniors when enabled.
No recordings stored: Short audio snippets are securely processed to generate post-call insights, then permanently deleted.
No identifiable information shared: Voice data is never used to train AI models or shared outside authorized family members.
HIPAA-compliant security: Your data is protected with medical-grade encryption.
Family-controlled access: Insights are visible only to authorized family members within the JubileeTV app.
Full transparency: Your loved one knows exactly when analysis is enabled.
The new Voice Insights feature is available now on JubileeTV. Simply opt-in to enable and begin receiving insights. Questions? Our team is always here to help. Simply reach out to support@getjubileetv.com or call us at 855-466-4492 and we would be happy to help.
