JubileeTV Compatibility Guide

Complete technical requirements and setup compatibility for using JubileeTV at home or in a senior living community.

Compatibility Checker

A quick check

Does your loved one's setup have these four things?

HDMI Port

That rectangular slot where cables plug in - nearly every TV from 2010+ has at least one.

WiFi Connection

If they stream Netflix, Prime, or use any "smart" features, you're set.

Power Outlet

JubileeTV plugs into the wall like any other device. We also provide a neat Y-splitter so you don't need an extra outlet.

Content Source

Cable/satellite box or streaming device (Roku, Fire stick, Apple TV) - something that provides TV shows.

That's it.

If your loved one has those four things, JubileeTV should work with their setup.

Works with the TV they already know

JubileeTV connects to any TV with HDMI - from 32" bedroom TVs to 75" living room screens. Mom or Dad doesn't need to buy a new TV, learn a new remote, or change anything about how they watch.

Works with 50+ TV brands:

Samsung • LG • Sony • TCL • Vizio • Hisense • Panasonic • Philips • Sharp • Toshiba • Insignia • Element • RCA • Westinghouse • Magnavox • JVC • Hitachi • Emerson • Sceptre • Dynex • Polaroid • Jensen • Sanyo • ONN • Roku TV • Fire TV • Google TV

+ many more

Don't see your TV brand? If your TV has an HDMI port, it will work with JubileeTV. Call us at (855) 466-4492 and we'll confirm compatibility.

A Note for Smart TV Owners

JubileeTV works with smart TVs, but we can't control the built-in smart TV apps (Netflix, Prime, etc.) directly.

Here's the easy solution:

  • Add a streaming device: We recommend Roku for the best experience
  • Result: Everything works through one simple interface

Most families find this actually makes TV easier for Mom to use, not harder.

Important: Content Source Required

JubileeTV organizes and controls content - it doesn't provide content. Your loved one needs at least one of these connected:

  • Cable/Satellite Box
  • Streaming Device

Most families already have one of these - JubileeTV makes them all easier to use.

Can I connect a sound system to JubileeTV?

JubileeTV does not directly control soundbars or Audio Video Receivers (AVRs).

However: A soundbar or AVR connected directly to the TV that is automatically powered on and off together with the TV (or is always on) and controlled using the TV’s volume commands may work. Please note, you won’t be able to use the JubileeTV remote to control the soundbar separately from the TV.

Soundbars and AVRs not automatically controlled via the TV's commands cannot be controlled using the JubileeTV Voice Remote. You will need to use a separate remote to control them.

Bottom line:Your existing sound setup will likely continue working, but you may need to keep the sound system's remote for independent control.

Internet and technical requirements

JubileeTV works reliably on most home internet connections. You don't need to upgrade anything.

10 mbps minimum

Works with: Cable internet (Xfinity, Spectrum, Cox) • Fiber internet (Verizon, AT&T) • DSL connections • Fixed wireless internet • Mobile hotspots

Senior living & assisted care communities

JubileeTV works in most senior living communities, but internet and cable setup varies by facility.
